Sub-Inspector (Master): 13
Age Limit: 22 to 28 years
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300 to 34800 with grade pay Rs.4200
Educational Qualification: 10+ 2 or equivalent with 2nd class master certificate issued by State or Central Island Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.
Sub-Inspector (Engine Driver): 13
Age Limit: Same as above job
Pay Scale: same as above job
Educational Qualification: 10+ 2 or equivalent with 2nd class engine driver certificate issued by State or Central Island Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.
Head Constable (Master): 64 (Gen-29, OBC-19, SC-9, ST-7)
Age Limit: 20 to 25 years
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 to 20200 with grade pay Rs.2400
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with Serang Certificate
Head Constable (Engine Driver): 64 (Gen-25, OBC-25, SC-7, ST-7)
Age Limit: 20 to 25 years
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 to 20200 with grade pay Rs.2400
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate
Head Constable (Workshop): 15 (Gen-11, OBC-1, SC-3)
Age Limit: 20 to 25 years
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 to 20200 with grade pay Rs.2400
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with ITI in the respective trade. Please refer official notification given in website www.bsf.nic.in.
Constable (Crew): 80 (Gen- 35, OBC-24, SC-9, ST-12)
Age Limit: 20 to 25 years
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 to 20200 with grade pay Rs.2000
Educational Qualification: Matriculation with 1 year experience in operating boats. In addition to these swimming knowledge and experience is required for these posts.
